Moana

Hi Dolls! It’s mid June which means it’s time for a new Disney Princess Disneybound.

June is a pretty special month for three reasons. Not only is it my husbands birthday month (17th), its also my fathers birthday month (22nd) and Father’s Day is in June. When choosing which Princess to do for this month, I immediately thought of one that was special to myself and my husband…Moana. I can safely say that we have watched Moana together more than any other movie EVER! Moana is our go to movie to put on when we need something to watch or when we go to bed. It’s a great movie, but it’s also great to sleep to lol. No lie, we have seen it well over 50 times. We sing the songs all the time throughout the house. And, for my husbands birthday a couple of years ago, we even had a small Moana themed celebration with just the two of us.

Moana is a kick ass Princess. Her main goal throughout the entire movie was solely based on helping others and putting their needs before her on. All she wanted was to help her people and island all the while find herself in the process. She’s definitely a great role model!

FASHION

Since the movie is based on Polynesian folklore, and Polynesian islands have some of the worlds most beautiful beaches, I thought it would be appropriate to do a swim look. I found my main pieces on Amazon (linked below) and I chose to wear the heart of the ocean on my ears instead of around my neck. What can I say? I’m an earring girl! My favorite part of this look is the eyelet detail on the sarong matching perfectly with Moana’s skirt.
