Rapunzel
“Best Day Ever!”
It’s the official last day of Summer and why not celebrate by posting my September Disneybound, Rapunzel. When I think of summer, Rapunzel is a princess that immediately comes to my mind. Maybe it’s the sun symbols throughout the movie or all the pretty flowers in her hair, who knows. Either way I knew I had to round out my summer with Rapunzel. Although she isn’t one of top 5 Princesses, she’s a still a great one. Some of her traits are being adventurous, determined, a dreamer, kind and creative. Tangled is a great movie for so many reasons. I love all the characters and the story about being brave. “I See the Light” hands down is one of my favorite duet Disney songs, right up there with “A Whole New World.” And who isn’t in love with Flynn Rider and the smolder.
FASHION
To come up with my Rapunzel look, I turned to Amazon. I wanted to find a look that resembeled her dress but also felt true to my style and something I would wear again. This flowy lavender dress is perfect. I actually have loved this specific dress for a while and now I want it in every color. I honestly think this a great summer dress option, so take notes for next year people! For the floral headband, I did modify it by adding small yellow flowers to make it feel more “Tangley.” The saddest part of my look is the lack of long hair. I cut mine off in July because it was so hot. I thought adding the floral headband and these long yellow beaded earrings, it could be a fun interpretation of her hair. I live in the south and ain’t nobody got time for seventy foot long hair. No ma’am.
