Mad About Plaid 5.0

It’s the 5th annual “Mad About Plaid” post Dolls!

Every year, I do a plaid or tartan look around the holidays. When I do these post, the brand I wear has always been J. Crew. I don’t care what anyone says, they always come out with fabulous tartan pieces for the holidays. However, this year I decided to switch it up a bit. I have obsessively gotten into Hillhouse Home over the past year and have added a least 10 pieces to my closet. I love that Hillhouse Home dresses are so easy to wear and so comfortable. Anyone can throw their a nap dress on and look completely done up. I like to pair my nap dresses with matching headbands, if provided. I love a good “matchy matchy” moment.

So, for this “Mad About Plaid 5.0” I chose the Hazel dress in Blackwatch Tartan and matching Alice headband. I love the Hazel dress so much, especially the Peter Pan collar and puff sleeves. I had to purchase an XXL because my size was sold out at the time, and I took it to my seamstress to alter. I purchased it on sale, that is why my size was gone. The dress could be smaller in the waist, in my opinion. But, I can also throw on a belt to cinch in the waist if needed. I paired my dress and headband with big pearl earrings, a small Tory Burch handbag, some sheer knee hi socks, and my Jeffrey Campbell platform Mary Janes. I thought the platform heels edged up the preppy side of the look nicely. I love this look so much and it will be on repeat for the holidays.

I have linked the dress and headband below!
