French Quarter
Bonjour Peaches!
There’s nothing better than being in New Orleans, pouring sweat in 90+ degree humidity while wearing a wrinkly linen dress….said no one ever. But at least my hat looks good. I recently took a solo trip to New Orleans for a couple days, just to relax and reset….and show Fiona, the only Georgia born being in our house, my hometown. We stayed in the residential area of the French Quarter in this fabulous hotel, which I’ll share more about later. Fiona tried beignets, crawfish, boudin and got to second line outside of Cafe Du Monde. All and all, it was a great couple of days. Will I go back in the summer? Absolutely not! But, I can’t wait to visit again the fall. Sweat and humidity just aren’t my friend.
FASHION
I am wearing this fabulous confetti hat from Lele Sadoughi that I purchased in 2022. It’s a beautiful mint green with lavender details. I was waiting to wear it to Palm Beach, but NOLA seemed appropriate as well. To go with the hat, I found this mint linen dress from Banana Republic on sale. Although linen is breezy and great for summer, I HATE that it wrinkles so much. To me, linen is the absolute worst and I rarely show it only blog. I only like wearing it if I NEVER have to sit down. Either way, I really liked this dress because it complimented the hat so well. There were people walking around while I was shooting and they seemed to love my look. Unfortunately the hat is no longer available, but I have linked the dress below.
